Looking for a great beginner crochet shawl pattern? Le Triangle: Granny is it!
A simple half granny square, Le Triangle: Granny is my very first crochet pattern. It is absolutely beginner friendly and a great introduction to the wonderful craft that is crochet.
This is a great souvenir shawl for all your favorite fiber events and travels. When planning A Woolen Affair with my friend Catherine from Brooklyn General Store, it occurred to me that this shawl would be the perfect pattern to celebrate the event. In the sample, I used yarn from each of the yarn vendors: mYak, The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers, Little Fox, The Wandering Flock, Sonder Yarn co and Brooklyn General Store.
You will find the full list of the yarn used in the pattern. There are also bundles available from La Bien Aimée.
Do you want the same effect with your own yarn? Pick your favorite colors and improvise. Le Triangle Granny is also a great stash buster: it’s perfect to use those mini skeins from a precious yarn advent calendar, or even to use up your favorite leftovers.
